Join Professor James Arvanitakis, Dr Julian Droogan and artist Khadim Ali as they discuss melancholy from an art, political and migration aspect. The talks will conclude with a panel discussion on the various perspectives of melancholy. Presented by the Art Gallery Society in collaboration with Western Sydney University. Bookings are through the website. On display in the Margaret Whitlam Galleries is the stunning new exhibition A Sense of Place: The artist Greg Hansell's record of history now. This exhibition showcases the work of Greg Hansell, one of the best known and loved artists working in the Hawkesbury region. The Whitlam Institute's exhibition, A Changing Australia: The Time of Gough Whitlam will also be open. Entry is free to the Female Orphan School and galleries.
